[ She looks down at her now slightly darker shadow, giving it a nod. Off to cabin 116 they go then!
Once they get there, she goes inside the room and digs through a dresser, pulling out something white. It's her rain poncho, with a pair of eyes on the hood, making it look like some sort of white sheet ghost. She never had another chance to wear it after the rain last year. ]
Sparkles? [ Looks down at the shadow. Still there? ] Wanna try this on?

You're going to have to narrow "it" down by quite a lot, you know.
Unfortunately, we must. It's important, and it has to do with the ship and our surrounding reality.
[and Friday, but he promised her he wouldn't run to tattle to the Captain and he plans on holding to that for as long as possible.]
Just how long are we going to be able to keep on in this manner before reality falls apart?

[shrugs] It's been, I suppose. Hasn't been particularly interesting for me.
It is! [Recovering a little of the enthusiasm.]
I've got other things to tell you about too. Important things. First is a question, and don't fret if you don't know the answer, I just promised Crichton I'd ask. He's helping me with the rocket. He wants to know - this bubble universe we're stuck in, does it have gravity? The force that keeps our feet on the ground, stops everything floating off all the time, is that... real?
[Tayrey doesn't even really like the premise behind the question, but she did promise.]

There's ghosts that look kind of like this on some Halloween decorations. [ Also in The Cage, but she's not at that canon point yet in this thread. ...Sparkles could probably resemble the black sheet ghosts like Carrier or Tutie if only she had a cap and mail bag to provide. She giggles and holds out the poncho. ]
Hold still. I'll help you put it on.
[ If it lets her, she'll just drape it right onto Sparkles. ]

Does that in any way sound like a choice I would have actively made.
[okay. yes. they can work with a timeline of a year or two.]
And is it really possible -- assuming we find a way to secure your safety -- for all of us to move from this reality to some other one? One you didn't create, directly or indirectly.

Physically, of course. We move to other realities all the time, after all.
I have absolutely no idea what's wrong with you people.
[makes a vague hand gesture]
Rather depends on the journey itself.

No one else ever turned out like this.
[note: they did, he just never noticed.]
